Within this project I have done the following things;
Managed the group and given out tasks,
Completed concept art for the Jellyfish and the main character,
Created the first storyboard for the project,
Completed lighting for the first scene of the buildings,
Completed making the title sequence and credits within After Effects
Composted all scenes together within After Effects,
Completed creating the final video, recording the voice over, finding a music piece and editing it all together.

The evidence of this is place within both my Digital Environment blog and my Industry practises blog as well.

Scifi Environment No outline

I've taken the outline that I sketched out the painting now and its working well. Just working on getting the colours right for the painting at the moment, and see what works and what doesn't.

I am finding that the top painting does not have that much in contrast at the moment, and this is something that I need to work on as I get on with it. The Ice cave one seems to be working out well at the moment, just need to fix some lighting and need to add in some references to lights inside the building. The desert one is going okay, I feel that I need to change the contrast a bit as its too dark in places and too light in others.

I found these two tutorials very helpful and made me want to play in this way because I can take myself away from one painting and then focus on another. Giving my mind a rest and being able to think straight.

Scifi Environment Basic Colour

Just thought I would put steps that I have done for this painting. Here is the basic colours for the images.

Trying out different ways of putting the colour on the page. Its working out okay, just need to move past this stage and work on something with a bit more contrast.

Scifi Environment

After feedback from the person I sent the characters too, I was told that my environments are far better then my characters. So I am working on creating some environments for them now. Its nice to have the feedback from someone else other then the tutors as its more of a reality check of what I really need to push to improve.

Here are the outlines for the environments that I've designed.

Jellyfish Painting - Adjusted

I have adjusted the paintings with curves within photoshop and then painting over little sections to increase the contrast between the shades.

Jellyfish Paintings - Step one Black and white

Here are some paintings of the Jellyfish. At the moment I'm sorting out the contrast on the paintings, then will go on and colour them. I have used two different techniques on these paintings; one was to start with a line drawing then paint over it, the other was to just start painting without an outline and work on the shape. Both styles are good to work with, I found sometimes it is hard to start painting without the outline, but sometimes its good to just see what happens when you start painting.

Building Layouts

These are some building layouts that I did to help out a person in my group. I think that I need to practices drawing buildings as it took me longer then I thought to complete this sheet. Also need to practice creating layout sheets in general.
